Welcome to my web site!
Hi, my name is Graham Robinson and I'm a web designer/developer living in the Lake District in the North West of England.
The purpose of this site is to demonstrate my web design/developer skills by providing a central location of all the sites/pages I have created to date.
I will be gradually adding new features and content to the site over time and will be keeping it up to date with whatever I'm currently working on.
Projects so far...
Bill Robinson - Segmented Woodturner
This site has been created for my father to display his woodturning creations. This is my first 'liquid' site design which works at a screen width of 800 pixels and above and doesn't break when the user changes the text size in their web browser. It's a very image rich site that has been constructed entirely using XHTML & CSS.
Robinson's Cycles
This is a fictitious cycle store & web site produced for part of my college course. The course unit was for web development, so more time was spent on writing code than the actual design. It was originally written using ASP and connected to an Access database, but because I wanted to learn more about PHP and MySQL, I recently decided to convert the whole site to this different server technology and database. This new version is also much more cross browser/platform compatible.
If you have any queries or comments about any of the sites/pages I have created, you can get in touch using the Contact page.
I am always interested to hear about what other people think of my sites, so if you really like something or have any ideas for improvement, please let me know.
